Bored Pile & Reverse Circulation Drilling (RCD)

A bored pile is a cast-in-place concrete pile, meaning the pile is cast on the construction site. This differs from other concrete pile foundations, like spun pile and reinforced concrete square pile foundations, which use precast concrete piles.

Bored Pile Works commonly use in:

  • As heavy foundations, securing deep excavation especially close to existing buildings as well as stabilising and retaining slopes
  • In a variety of infrastructure projects such as highway, road or bridge construction as well as flood protection
  • Retain ground alongside an excavation pit or close to adjacent buildings, often combined with other techniques such as ground anchors or soil nails
  • For slope stabilization to prevent landslides, or protect existing buildings

We provide various bored pile services including cast-in-situ pile foundation, contiguous bored pile (CBP), secant bored pile (SBP) with diameter from 600mm till 3000mm and depth up to 100 meters.

RCD is one type of bored pile machine suitable for limited working space and required large pile size. Small size of machine generates lightweight operation which is considerable on platform having low bearing capacity or temporary platform especially on bridge-over-river construction. Reverse circulation method is best for sandy soil and suitable for various type of soil formation. RCD machine is capable to drill bored pile size from 900mm diameter to 3200mm diameter with depth going to maximum 120m.
